Since 2005 the World Bicycle Relief has provided over 75,000 to people and communities all over the world. Compared to walking, bicycles represent an enormous leap in productivity and access to healthcare, education and economic development opportunities. The simple, sustainable nature of bicycles empowers individuals, their families and their communities.
Their latest project is getting bicycles into the hands of schoolgirls in Zambia. Safe, reliable transportation to school will enable them to have better health and economic outcomes as a result of completing their secondary education. And higher rates of education means fewer babies being born and a better chance for these girls to succeed and empower themselves and their communities.
You can help too! By donating as little as $14 to our Gift that Gives More you'll be helping get bikes out to girls in need!
