XYTOS develops flourescent cancer scanning technique

The medical research and development firm XYTOS has released the first details regarding their Cancer Diagnostic Flourescent Scanning Technique. This new cancer screening technology will actually illumininate cancer cells years before they could be detected by mammogram or other contemporary techniques.

The scanning technique is a remarkable breakthrough that could change cancer screening forever. A standard mammogram is only able to detect cancer cells up to three years after they come into being. XYTOS hopes to increase the odds of early detection by finding the cancer cells before they can form into a tumor.

The company has created a completely non-invasive treatment that uses a substance called XyChloro, which glows at a certain wavelength when scanned by a laser. The cancer cells show up on the scan as small, bright white spots. The treatment is designed for surface and near-surface cancers such as breast and skin cancer, but conventional diagnostics are still the primary method for deeper tumor detection.

XYTOS hopes their new technology will soon become the primary detection method for breast cancer.

According to BreastCancer.org, about 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop some form of invasive breast cancer in their lifetime.
