Siemens Partners joins American Cancer Society to raise money for breast cancer
Aug 3, 2011
Siemens Partners recently announced it will be joining the fight against breast cancer by teaming up with American Cancer Society (ACS). The company, which is known for its advances in the healthcare industry, has already participated in a number of fundraisers and is working toward a cure for the disease with ACS. Siemens has become an official partner to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer program, in hopes of making breast cancer breakthroughs news at some point.
"Siemens is working to develop integrated and innovative technologies for healthcare providers who, like the American Cancer Society, are our partners in creating a world where breast cancer can be controlled and cured," said Eric Spiegel, president and CEO of the company. "Siemens breast care solutions deliver a holistic approach to caring for patients - from screening and diagnosis to therapy and aftercare."
ACS is the largest non-government investor for cancer research, and due to the money they have raised, 11 million people will celebrate birthdays this year because of their process in preventing and treating the disease.
